I think I might be one of a very rare group (including a small tribe of South American indians) who didn't watch the show.

Robbie *sigh* could have done double duty with a Take That reunion. *gag*

Finally, someone else who doesn't like Joss Stone. I feel so much less alone in the world now. Thanks.

Ah, so that's where Barrie is! I was too lazy to even bother looking it up. Also, my boyfriend may think he's mister big shot (which, of course, he is) with the cool music website now, but when he was a kid his favorite song was "Would I Lie to You?" Fact.

Admit it. I know the truth. you LOVE the skinny, SKINNY attitude-fuled lemon-faced wangers in Razorlight.

have the kids starting saying "shit" when they mean something's good, like with "bad" and "wicked"? that's the only way i can explain your use of the word to describe the excellent fantasy line-up of bands you listed. personally, i would replace Crazy frog with the almighty Hue & Cry, who would be excellent headliners, provided they only played Looking For Linda and Labour Of Love, rather than any of their other hits.

Erica - I once held a door open for Charles, and indeed Eddie. Fact! albannach - no, I heart Brakes (www.brakesbrakesbrakes.com) Lee - Looking for Linda? Was that not Curiosity Killed The Cat? I bet you run the Go West fan club.

Talking of Go! West, (exclamation mark makes them all rawk)my cousin in law has just annouced she's pregnant. She conceived the night that she and her husband went to Birmingham (shudder) to see Go! West (double shudder). Now that's something to be proud of. As for Looking for Linda, it was indeed Hue & Cry. I think that there is definitely a place in your line up for Deacon Blue too. It might be difficult dragging the female singer out of River City (Glasgow's embarrassing answer to Eastenders) but give it a go anyway- Ricky Ross is going to be playing at a festival I'm going to in Inverness in August and I already feel the need to stick pins in my eyes...

Actually, dear, it's Uruguay and Thatched Roofing. (you were close.) And thanks for the tip! You continue to be a bastion of rock and roll credibility.

I've heard of Tegan & Sarah! But not heard any of their songs. OK, some retorts to above: Lee - I will never forget duetting to Looking Out For Linda with you. Girl - you're so not alone in hating souless-Stone. Erica - IS THAT TRUE? Brilliant news. Lee again - in NYC I learned that the 'kids' (a 28 year old man and his elder colleague) now say 'retarded' to mean 'good'. We were talking about something we'd seen that we'd really liked and they said 'that shit's retarded, yo' and we were disappointed ... untill we realised they agreed with us.
